Benefits of Digital Technology in Education

Digital Technology is an inevitable asset in the 21st-century classroom or individual tutoring. Whether the teacher uses it for demonstrating the task on a PowerPoint, or the entire class is working on digital devices, or the preparation for the classes being done digitally and distributed on sheets or in digital formats, it is a great possibility to embrace for a diverse classroom environment. The pandemic forced us into virtual classrooms and tutor rooms and developed new challenges for both, the teacher and the student. It is fact, that an instrumental student is able to improve through online lessons, if the tutor is willing and able to apply his or  her method to the actual situation. In teaching music theory, especially microtonality, demonstrating different tempering systems, or simply the structure of a sound wave, these are the fields that we can not imagine anymore without the benefits of a digital keyboard or computer. On the other hand, digital notation software makes the life of the ensemble leader significantly easier, especially when we would like to facilitate different levels of abilities as well as instruments in different transpositions.
